Numerous routes through the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg and Germany are open into Belgium and travel to the country by car is very easy - there are usually little in the way of formalities at borders, and rarely are drivers stopped for any particular length of time. Direct travel via the Eurotunnel is also possible from Kent in the UK, with cars being carried in trains for the duration of the journey. Eurolines also offer regular services to a few regions in Belgium.
A national driver’s license is required documentation, and Green Card insurance is recommended.
