Roads in Belgium are generally of a very good quality, especially around national and international highways - the quality of surfaces cannot be guaranteed when it comes to more rural regions, however. Public transport throughout Belgium is of a high standard, offering affordable options and a timetable that is actually paid attention to. Buses and coach services cover most areas of the country, and taxi and tram services cover most major towns and cities as well as underground services in Antwerp and Brussels - all of which are affordable and reliable.
Rail services are comprehensive and run regularly, with coverage stretching to most of the country. Trains are generally of a good standard and journeys are comfortable and safe in the vast majority. Concession fares are available for a number of discount cards.
Internal flights are generally not available.
